Discover Seattle from a new perspective

See the Seattle skyline, Gas Works Park and the floating homes and houseboats Lake Union is famous for. Our docks are within a 20 minute paddle of the Fremont Bridge and South Lake Union.
  • Open year-round for rentals weather permitting.

  • Last rental leaves 90 minutes before sunset. All rentals must be returned by sunset.

  • ​One hour minimum & prorated every 10 minutes after first hour.

  • Call ahead to reserve so you can paddle when you want to, even during peak times. Last reservation 2 hours before close

  • Walk-ins accepted most days & times. 

  • Paddlers under 18 must paddle with a parent or legal guardian. Anyone under the age of 16 has to paddle in a double or triple kayak with an adult.

  • Before a rental leaves or docks, we must have a signed waiver from all persons who will be paddling 

Weekdays: 3rd and 4th hours are free for kayaks!

We'll fit you to a kayak or SUP based on size and ability. We have sit-inside kayaks to fit nearly any size and ability level. We do have a sit-on-top double and single kayak available upon request.

Kayak & Paddleboard Rental Checklist

Wear a lifejacket! In general dress for the weather, and wear clothes you don't mind getting wet On colder days you are welcome to wear a paddle jacket and/or wetsuit at no charge Make eye contact with other boaters/sea planes and be aware  Be able to find your way back from the water (use the QR codes on equipment) Please no alcohol or other drugs (we can keep 'em cold for you) Our kayaks are not allowed through the Ballard Locks
